Job summary

Allstate is seeking Software Engineers (Consultant II through Lead) to build and enhance digital products using modern engineering practices. You will contribute to front-end and back-end services, focusing on test-driven development, continuous integration, and cloud-native approaches.

As you progress, you will assume greater technical leadership and cross-product influence. Responsibilities include planning, daily stand-ups, code quality through TDD, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java/Spring, JavaScript and React.
• Experience with APIs, relational/NoSQL databases, caching and messaging.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong CS fundamentals and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Participate in iteration planning and stand-ups.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications with guidance.
• Practice TDD and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and support junior engineers as applicable.
• Lead technical discussions and align engineering with product strategy.
