Job summary

Allstate Insurance Co. is seeking software engineers across Consultant II to Lead levels to build and enhance digital products using modern engineering practices. You will own the full software development lifecycle for frontend and backend services, growing into technical leadership and cross‑product influence as you advance.

You will participate in planning, stand‑ups, and reviews, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and mentor others while solving well‑defined problems with scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with Java/Spring, JavaScript and React.
• Strong foundation in CS fundamentals and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Participate in iteration planning and backlog grooming.
• Engage in daily stand-ups across site and product teams.
• Contribute to retrospectives and apply feedback to improve performance.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications with guidance.
• Practice paired programming and TDD to deliver high-quality code.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery practices.
• Troubleshoot and support software in user environments.
• Collaborate with team and share knowledge across the group.
• Apply foundational engineering principles to solve well-defined problems.
