Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Full-stack Engineer 5 to lead cloud-native, distributed systems within our transformation programs. You will mentor engineers, drive architectural choices, and deliver scalable solutions using Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, and TypeScript.

You will collaborate with product teams, leverage open-source frameworks, and apply AWS tooling to build robust experiences for millions of customers, while advancing observability, testing, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in internal/external technology communities.
• Collaborate with product managers and deliver cloud-based solutions for large-scale users.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture.
• Drive end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale, cloud-native systems.
