Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Engineer 4 to drive transformative work for IFX, leading a portfolio of diverse projects and a seasoned dev team. You will mentor engineers, stay ahead of tech trends, and collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans.

You’ll work with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and leverage AWS tools, Docker, and Kubernetes to build scalable systems while reducing technical debt and shaping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community and participate in internal/external tech communities.
• Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions for users.
• Utilize Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and various AWS tools/services.
• Provide technical leadership and set engineering standards across Agile teams.
• Partner with architects to define service boundaries and reusable frameworks.
