Job summary

Veryable Inc in Dallas is seeking a mid-level Backend Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. You will build robust services and APIs powering our web and mobile apps, and own select features from design through release.

You’ll collaborate with internal users, mentor junior engineers, and uphold TDD and high-quality coding standards while working in-office at our Downtown Dallas headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• 3+ years building frontend web apps with React, HTML and CSS.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• 2+ years with CI/CD tools and owning the release process.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication.
• Curiosity and drive for continuous improvement, plus a collaborative attitude.
• Able to work in-office at our Downtown Dallas headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Build robust services and APIs powering web and mobile apps.
• Design and build user-friendly features to support marketplace and workforce tools.
• Own the full development lifecycle for roadmap features.
• Collaborate with internal users to gather feedback and plan features.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to maintain quality.
• Promote high-quality code standards and test-driven development.
• Handle incidents on-call and contribute to postmortems.
• Represent the world-class tech team and culture.
