Veryable, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Backend Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team in Dallas. You will build robust services and APIs powering our web and mobile apps, own select roadmap features end-to-end, and work with internal users to plan new platform capabilities.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, TDD, and on-call incident handling, with in-office work at our Downtown Dallas headquarters. A BSCS or related degree plus 2+ years of backend experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• 1+ years with CI/CD tools and owning the release process.

Responsibilities

• Build robust services and APIs powering web and mobile apps.
• Own design, development, testing, release, and post-release support for roadmap features.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews to maintain quality.
• Drive high-quality code standards and automated testing with TDD.
