Snap Finance in Illinois is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who doesn’t just write code — but owns problems end-to-end, ships high-impact features, and thrives in an environment where autonomy and accountability go hand in hand.

You’ll build across the stack—from Node backend to React web apps, React Native mobile apps, and Python data and operations jobs—owning features from idea to production while collaborating with product, data, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with React and React Native.
• Proven ability to deliver complex features from idea to production.
• Strong SQL skills; Python experience a plus.
• Bonus: experience in finance or regulated industries.
• Builder mindset: scrappy, resourceful, and shipping impactful work.

Responsibilities

• Build across the stack: Node backend, React web apps, React Native mobile apps, and Python data/ops jobs.
• Own features end-to-end: design, build, test, ship, monitor, and iterate.
• Champion reliability: write tests, build alerts, and handle on-call as needed.
• Work cross-functionally with product, business, data engineering, and data science.
• Dig into data: write SQL and use logging tools to derive insights.
