Mappa is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a backend orientation. This remote US role demands ownership across product and technology, from design to deployment. You will own critical backend services, integrate LLMs, and craft frontend surfaces using React and TypeScript.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, deep production experience, and a pragmatic, autonomous mindset. You will work closely with founders on architecture and roadmap, delivering robust, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a senior full stack or backend-focused role.
• Strong backend and production-system depth with ownership mindset.
• Production experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience with Postgres/Supabase and multi-tenant design.
• Experience integrating LLMs and building document pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own and build critical parts of the platform end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain production backend services with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Design and optimize Postgres/Supabase schemas, migrations, and security.
• Build reliable async/queue systems with retries and backfills.
• Integrate LLMs into production workflows with structured outputs.
• Develop React-based product surfaces for both portals and admin consoles.
• Ensure observability with logging, metrics, tracing, and fault classification.
• Collaborate directly with founders on product and architecture decisions.
