Job summary

Samba TV in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own end-to-end features across backend AI, the Node/TypeScript service layer, and the React streaming UI. You’ll design across the system, ship backend/AI capabilities, and lead front-end work when needed.

You will architect, implement streaming interfaces, ensure type-safe contracts, and deliver interactive charts and downloadable documents while maintaining performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• End-to-end ownership of features across stack: API, UI, and backend.
• Strong with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience with streaming and asynchronous state handling.

Responsibilities

• Design system-wide architecture across AI/backend, service layer, and UI.
• Build backend/AI features and manage streaming, state, and persistence.
• Develop Node backend-for-frontend and ensure type-safe client-server contracts.
• Implement React streaming UI with SSR framework and interactive content.
• Lead front-end work when needed and provide code reviews and guidance.
• Handle long-running, asynchronous work with partial/streaming state and reconnections.
• Write tests and instrument systems for observability.
• Collaborate with product/design/platform teams and mentor others.
