Job summary

Canopy, a Utah-based SaaS company, is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to advance our practice management platform for accounting firms. You will work on a collaborative squad with engineers, a product manager, UX designer, and QA, owning features from concept to production, and shipping updates multiple times a day.

You’ll design REST APIs, build microservices with Python or Java/Kotlin, and work with PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience across frontend and backend.
• Strong knowledge of Python, Java, or Kotlin and RESTful API design.
• Experience with TypeScript, Git, and modern testing frameworks.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants and building scalable software.

Responsibilities

• Define and validate new features end-to-end with PM, UX, and customers.
• Design and implement REST API endpoints and microservices.
• Write tests, perform code reviews, and maintain code quality.
• Own builds and deployments to staging and production using Docker, GitLab, and Kubernetes.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to AI-driven tooling.
