Job summary

Sophia Learning is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and support mission-critical applications for our online learning platform. You will own technical decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.

You will drive end-to-end ownership of features, champion TDD and automated testing, and help evolve our agentic software lifecycle with AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in design and implementation of web applications.
• Hands-on full-stack development across modern web tech.
• Experience with AWS or GCP infrastructure.
• Familiar with TDD and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver full-stack features across web apps.
• Own features from direction to delivery and production health.
• Set technical direction and scalable patterns with best practices.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering partners to shape requirements.
• Promote Agile, TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Provide level 3 production support and mentoring for engineers.
