Job summary

MASS Tech is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the development of a Google-native AI platform for industrial equipment interaction. You will shape system design, leverage Vertex AI, Firestore, and Gemini LLMs, and drive frontend and backend work across Cloud Run, Firebase Functions, and Next.js.

You will collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to deliver secure, low-latency solutions with observability and cost efficiency in mind.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with GCP services Vertex AI, Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Firebase.
• Experience with LLM-powered RAG, embedding pipelines, or vector search.
• Strong API design, CI/CD practices, and observability tooling.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of MASS Tech’s Firestore-based vector RAG platform from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Design and implement serverless ingestion pipelines that process PDFs using Vertex AI for indexing.
• Develop and optimize Firestore-native vector search with equipment-specific filtering.
• Build and maintain a responsive Next.js frontend for QR access, chat interfaces, and dashboards.
• Architect and manage scalable APIs using Cloud Run and Firebase Functions.
• Integrate Vertex AI Gemini to generate real-time, citation-aware responses in UI.
• Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to refine prompts and context management.
• Implement observability and performance optimization across the stack.
