Job summary

Trase is seeking a Senior or Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to build and support software for Red Cell Federal, Red Cell Partners, and incubations. You’ll work on frontend, backend, APIs, and integrations with a focus on federal, government, and national security programs.

This hands-on role involves owning features end-to-end, collaborating with partner engineers, Product, and DevOps/SRE, and delivering secure, auditable solutions across environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with production apps.
• 5+ years full-stack development across frontend, backend, APIs, databases.
• Strong frontend with TypeScript/JavaScript and React/Next.js.
• Strong backend in Python/TypeScript/Go/Java; API design and integration.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, and audit logging.
• Hands-on testing, code reviews, Git, containers, CI/CD; cloud/Kubernetes.
• Ability to translate requirements into maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features for federal partners and integrations.
• Clarify use cases with partner engineers and Product; define acceptance criteria.
• Integrate partner apps with Trase OS APIs, SDKs, and external APIs.
• Develop agent/workflow integrations with asynchronous execution and retry logic.
• Create interfaces for configuring agents, connections, and logs with audit history.
• Implement authentication, RBAC, secrets, and audit events across services.
• Adapt configurations for customer-managed cloud, private networks, or on-prem.
• Own quality through tests, reviews, and end-to-end validation.
• Diagnose defects; add telemetry; support incident investigations.
• Assist releases and security fixes with DevOps/SRE teams.
• Document architecture and provide partner walkthroughs.
• Mentor engineers and share reusable solutions with the platform team.
