Job summary

Ascertain is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to ship product across the stack, from backend data infrastructure to the web app used by our partner operations team.

You'll join a growing team with ownership over what we build and how we build it, working with React/TypeScript on the frontend and Python/FastAPI on the backend. The role is hybrid with teams in NYC and remote engineers across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development with Python and TypeScript.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Redis and queueing systems.
• Experience building production systems in cloud (GCP).
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Able to work in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
• Overlap with US Eastern business hours.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from design to production.
• Build React frontend experiences with TypeScript.
• Design and ship backend services with Python and FastAPI.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to ship software.
• Improve development processes like testing, CI/CD, observability.
