The Hertz Corporation is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and scale rental systems powering core business operations. You will work across the full stack, partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver modern rental experiences and robust backend platforms.

Responsibilities include designing UIs, building scalable frontend architecture with React, and collaborating on API design for seamless data flow, while ensuring performance, accessibility, and code

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 6+ years of hands-on Java development.
• Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing and building scalable microservices and cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases; familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience working in Agile environments with strong communication, problem-solving, and end-to-end ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex user interfaces for web applications.
• Build and scale web systems, focusing on frontend architecture with modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS, and React.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow.
• Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and usability.
• Set a high bar for code quality, test coverage, and user experience for the frontend.
• Drive improvements in frontend development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other teams to deliver high-value features.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and best practices.
