Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design and deliver complex features for Manufacturing Production Scheduling. You will provide 3rd-level support for plant-floor applications and ensure continuous production across global operations.

You will work with a modern stack including SpringBoot, Docker/Kubernetes, OpenShift, Angular, and cloud platforms while driving CI/CD practices, automated testing, and AI-assisted code improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with full-stack focus.
• Deep proficiency in Java, SpringBoot, and Microservices.
• Experience building modern frontends using Angular.
• Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Proven experience modernizing legacy integrations and migrating to cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Proficiency in Generative AI developer tools to accelerate SDLC and improve code quality.
• Strong understanding of Prompt Engineering and validating AI-generated code for security and efficiency.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and TDD/BDD; mentoring and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and implementation of migration paths off legacy technology for scalable systems.
• Implement automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and robust monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance to PDO team and mentor on Prompt Engineering and development cycles.
• Utilize modern tech stack (SpringBoot, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes, OpenShift, SQL/PostgreSQL) for Schedule Management.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and Product Managers to shape the technical roadmap.
• Work within Agile framework using Jira (Scrum, TDD/BDD) to deliver value.
• Master core functionality of Manufacturing Production Scheduling to translate constraints into insights.
