Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to join an established, customer-facing team supporting U.S. national security. Hybrid work is available at Herndon, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD, with an active TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities include building new features, leading tool development, and applying AI capabilities to real-time data flows in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience. A Master’s Degree may substitute for 6 years.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related stack.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Build new features for a software project deployed on classified networks.
• Design and deploy tools for customer mission needs.
• Code and test high-quality software in an agile team.
• Lead tasks in coordination with other technical resources.
• Work in a start-up-like environment emphasizing initiative and velocity.
• Implement AI-capable coding and enterprise AI systems.
