Aspida Financial Services, LLC in Durham, NC is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build and maintain our digital platform, reporting to the AI Engineer and working onsite three days weekly.

The role requires advanced programming skills, end-to-end app development experience, strong architecture know-how, and teamwork. Aspida delivers data-driven retirement and life insurance tech solutions with a focus on speed, safety, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full stack engineer experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• NestJS (Node.js) backend and PostgreSQL experience.
• React/Next.js + TypeScript frontend experience.
• Strong understanding of relational databases.
• Excellent communication and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Implement scalable REST APIs and application UIs
• Identify bottlenecks and improve software efficiency
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs
• Contribute towards unit tests and test-automation
• Contribute to system architecture and infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Documentation for internal and external clients
