Job summary

Doeren Mayhew is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will work as a client-facing full stack engineer in multiple U.S. cities, including Atlanta. You will design and deliver scalable software, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor a global team.

You will work with React/Angular SPAs, REST APIs (.NET/Node), and cloud platforms, while promoting coding standards and continuous improvement. Collaboration with stakeholders and rigorous testing are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven client-facing or consulting experience.
• Experience designing and developing Single Page Applications (React, Angular).
• Proficiency building REST APIs (.NET, Node) with focus on performance, security, maintainability.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, and system design principles.
• Experience with relational databases, including schema design and SQL optimization.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern deployment practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with emerging AI trends and tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Codex).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across global teams.
• Mentoring peers and influencing team delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as a client-facing full stack engineer, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and deliver scalable software using modern frameworks and best practices.
• Contribute to system architecture and design decisions in distributed systems.
• Mentor and support engineers across a global team through code reviews and collaboration.
• Maintain coding standards and ensure quality across deliverables.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues using diverse tools and approaches.
• Ensure solutions are tested with unit and integration tests.
• Participate in client workshops and sprint demos, communicating complex concepts clearly.
• Identify opportunities to introduce AI-driven capabilities and automation.
• Support Agile delivery with planning, estimation, and continuous improvement.
