Job summary

Hazel, the AI coworker for consumer brands, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to extend the action layer and write back into connected systems like Shopify and Klaviyo. You will build full‑stack features with TypeScript/React + Go and craft AI agent workflows, enabling safe, automated operations.

This hybrid role is based in NYC and involves collaboration with founders and customers. You will contribute to integrations across major platforms, improve UX, and ship reliable software used by

Qualifications

• Shipped a production LLM feature to real users.
• Owned an API at scale: query optimization, schema design.
• Strong TypeScript experience.
• Uses coding agents to do the work of a larger team and can explain where they helped or hindered.
• Cares about product ergonomics and UX.
• Former or aspiring founders.

Responsibilities

• Extend Hazel's action layer - writes back into connected systems.
• Develop full-stack features across TypeScript/React + Go services.
• Design and implement AI agent workflows: streaming LLM responses, multi-step tool use, approvals.
• Build integrations reading and writing across Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Amazon, and more.
• Collaborate with founders and customers; ship code used by operators tomorrow.
