Job summary

Hazel is seeking a senior engineer to extend the action layer, integrating with Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Amazon, and more. You will build full-stack features using TypeScript/React and Go, and shape AI agent workflows with human-in-the-loop safety.

You’ll work directly with the founders and customers to deliver rapid value. The role is hybrid in NYC, offering $150–250K base salary plus 0.25–0.5% equity, top-tier health/dental/vision, and a fast-paced startup environment focused on UX and product

Qualifications

• Shipped a production LLM feature to real users.
• Owned an API at scale: query optimization, schema design, workload fit.
• Strong TypeScript experience and React knowledge.
• Solid product UX focus and customer empathy.
• Experience with founders or startup environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Extend Hazel's action layer and writes back into connected systems.
• Build full-stack features with TypeScript/React and Go services.
• Design AI agent workflows: streaming responses and tool use.
• Integrations across Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Amazon, and more.
