Job summary

Netflix, Inc. seeks a seasoned software engineer for the Account Settings/ACE space. You will contribute across the stack with TypeScript/React on the client and Java-based GraphQL services on the backend, owning features from UI to APIs.

Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science to ship experiments, ensure reliability, and maintain high-traffic surfaces. Focus on privacy, preferences, onboarding, and member experiences.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Comfortable owning a feature end-to-end, from UI through the APIs and services behind it.
• Strong in JavaScript/TypeScript/React and Java.
• Bonus knowledge of GraphQL design, Android/Kotlin and iOS/Swift.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs such as GraphQL or REST.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Account Settings experience — privacy and notification settings, profile preferences, viewing history, parental controls, managed download devices, and more.
• Own onboarding flows: profile creation, account identifiers, streaming interests, and language preference.
• Collaborate across the stack with Product, Design, and Data Science to ship experiments and features that improve member account management.
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in design discussions on system reliability and long-term health.
