Job summary

Netflix seeks an experienced software engineer to own the Account Settings and onboarding experiences. You will impact millions of members daily by shaping privacy, notifications, profile preferences, and language choices.

Work across the stack (TypeScript/React on the client and Java GraphQL on the backend) and collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science to run experiments and ship reliable features.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems, ideally spanning frontend and backend.
• Own a feature end-to-end, from UI through the APIs and services behind it.
• Strong in JavaScript/TypeScript/React and Java. Bonus knowledge GraphQL graph design, Android/Kotlin and iOS/Swift.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs such as GraphQL or REST.
• Communicate clearly, take ownership, and collaborate well across Product, Design, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Account Settings experience across privacy, history, and parental controls.
• Own onboarding flows from profile creation to language preferences.
• Contribute across the stack: TS/React frontend and Java GraphQL backend.
• Collaborate with 8+ teams to shape design systems and rails.
• Ship experiments and features with Product, Design, and Data Science.
• Write maintainable code and discuss system reliability and health.
