Job summary

Eliassen Group in Rockville, MD seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design and deliver Angular micro-frontends and Java Spring Boot services for regulatory form filing on AWS. You will work with AI-assisted development as a default approach, building reusable automation to improve velocity and reliability.

You'll provide technical leadership, mentorship, and drive code quality, performance, and testing standards while contributing to modernization efforts and managing risks and dependencies

Qualifications

• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and automation in production.
• Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript on current release lines.
• Strong object-oriented programming experience and distributed system design.
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with schema-driven development or dynamic form rendering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Angular micro-frontends and backend services including REST APIs and AWS Lambda functions for regulatory filing.
• Author and evolve JSON Schema and layout definitions, and maintain schema-driven rendering and validation pipelines.
• Build and support the filing lifecycle including draft creation, amendment, submission, and cross-system validation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and raise standards for code quality, performance, and testing.
• Contribute to architecture and technical strategy for modernization and manage technical risks and dependencies.
• Support production systems and troubleshoot complex issues including validation failures and schema or layout mismatches.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for generation, refactoring, debugging, tests, schema and layout drafting, seed data, and documentation while maintaining quality and security.
• Build reusable automation such as specs, steering rules, agent skills and hooks, code indexers, test generators, review assistants, and prompt libraries.
• Design reliable and testable agent workflows using tool use, MCP, and multi-step reasoning within approved-tool boundaries.
• Simplify code and infrastructure to reduce maintenance and migration cost, and set clear goals aligned to business needs.

Our client seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design and deliver Angular micro-frontends and Java Spring Boot services for regulatory form filing. The role will emphasize schema-driven UI, validation pipelines, and end-to-end filing lifecycle capabilities on AWS. You will use AI-assisted development as a default working mode and create reusable automation that improves team velocity and reliability.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Experience Requirements:

• Daily hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools in production with demonstrated automation workflows and measured time savings.
• Production experience with Angular and TypeScript on a current release line.
• Strong object-oriented Java experience and distributed system design.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• Preferred: schema-driven development and dynamic form rendering with Angular Formly or JSON Schema.
• Preferred: micro-frontend architecture at production scale.
• Preferred: SpEL or comparable expression or rules language for business validation.
• Preferred: performance tuning and optimization.
• Preferred: financial services, regulatory technology, or compliance systems.
• Preferred: certifications in AWS or AI.
• Frontend: Angular with TypeScript in strict mode, RxJS, JSON Schema authoring (draft-07), Angular Formly or similar, Angular Elements or multi-project workspace, complex form behaviors, Playwright, Karma or Jasmine, SCSS, responsive layouts, accessibility compliance.
• Backend: Java with Spring Boot, Spring Expression Language for validation rules, RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Cloud and DevOps: AWS S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, observability with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray, infrastructure as code, CI/CD with Jenkins and Bitbucket, Git workflows and release orchestration.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least 7 years of related experience, or equivalent training and work experience.
