Job summary

Alpha Omega is seeking a Senior Application Developer to join our federal customer team. The role focuses on developing and leading a DevSecOps, cloud framework while meeting Federal security requirements and implementing quality-driven software practices.

You will work in a hybrid environment in Washington, DC, collaborating across engineering, security, and operations to deliver modern, scalable solutions that support government missions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years’ experience with full-stack development.
• Experience with React, Maven, Java, Docker, and MySQL on AWS RHEL servers.
• Proficient in data structures, algorithms and multi-threading.
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Experience with unit testing with JUnit.
• Experience with IntelliJ/Eclipse IDEs.
• Knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience in Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of distributed system design.
• Experience in Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure.
• Experience in DevOps and related tools (Jenkins, Groovy, Maven, GitLab, shell scripts).
• Experience with front-end frameworks and TypeScript libraries; React required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and environments, including design, integration, documentation and implementation advice.
• Apply principles and methods to task order requirements and develop automated solutions.
• Assist consultants and stakeholders with analysis, evaluation and recommendations for system improvements, optimization and maintenance.
• Demonstrate commensurate experience in IT and related technologies relevant to the role.
