Job summary

NISC is seeking a skilled software developer to join our iVUEConnect Utility team, delivering dynamic pricing and enhanced customer service tooling. The role focuses on full‑stack development with Angular/TypeScript and Java, across hybrid offices in Cedar Rapids, IA and other locations.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, mentor teammates, and implement robust tests, RESTful services, and cloud-native microservices within our enterprise platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong front-end and back-end skills with Angular/TypeScript and Java.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres, Oracle).
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud experience (AWS) and containerization (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and ALM tools.
• Awareness of AI tools to boost productivity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive web applications.
• Stand up RESTful services and microservices to support features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new functionality.
• Research, analyze, and resolve moderately complex issues and bugs.
• Write unit and integration tests and ensure code quality.
• Follow established software development methodologies and procedures.
• Explore AI-assisted features to improve user experience and workflows.
