Job summary

NISC, a leader in enterprise software for utilities, seeks a seasoned software developer to join the iVUE Connect Financials team. You will design and build responsive web apps and RESTful services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver feature-rich solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software development, strong Angular/TypeScript and Java skills, and experience with cloud stacks like AWS and Kubernetes. Hybrid work with multiple office locations supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient with Angular and TypeScript or GWT.
• Java or other object-oriented programming experience.
• Experience with RDBMS (Postgres, Oracle).
• Experience with cloud technology stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Kafka, SSO, Cassandra).
• Proficient in developing responsive content and performance optimization.
• Understanding of modern software engineering principles (modularity, coupling, separation of concerns).
• Experience with automated testing (Unit, Integration, Contract, End-to-end).
• Experience with Git and branching/merging workflows.
• Understanding of Test-Driven Development and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
• Experience with agentic AI coding tools (Claude Code, Augment, Jetbrains Junie, Github Copilot, Cursor, OpenAI Codex).

Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive web applications
• Stand up RESTful web services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement features
• Research, analyze, and resolve moderately complex customer issues and bugs
• Unit test and integration test code as needed
• Follow established software development methodologies
• Explore and prototype agent-based features to enhance UX or automate workflows
