Job summary

National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) is seeking a talented software developer for a hybrid role based in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will contribute to iVUEConnectUtility Customer Care & Billing software development, building responsive web applications and RESTful services.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of software development experience, strong Angular/TypeScript skills, Java knowledge, and proficiency with cloud and database technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with Angular and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with Java and relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive web applications.
• Stand up RESTful web services.
• Container-driven development using Kubernetes and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
• Research, analyze, and resolve moderately complex customer issues and bugs.
• Unit test and integration test code as needed.
• Follow established software development methodologies and procedures.
• Explore and prototype intelligent agent-based features to enhance UX or automate workflows.
• Other duties as assigned.
