Job summary

TCG, Inc. in the Washington, DC area seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer to support a data platform with Python and Postgres and to build an internal Angular web app.

This hybrid role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Federal clearance. Onsite work is 2–3 days per week in Washington, DC, and candidates must live within commuting distance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years developing Python applications.
• 3+ years JavaScript/TypeScript with Angular preferred.

US Citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government clearance check are required for this position.

This is a hybrid position and will require the candidate to work onsite in Washington, DC 2-3x a week. The selected candidate must live within a commuting distance of Washington, DC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support full stack development/product activities for a data platform using Python and Postgres


• Front end Angular development for an internal web application


• Willingness to be cross-trained in activities across the development team, including supporting an agentic AI pipeline; data engineering activities such as Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL); and DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline configuration


• Actively participate in Agile Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement/estimation, sprint demos, and sprint retrospectives


• Contribute to Product Increment (PI) planning, product roadmap development, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and product demonstrations


• Collaborate with the Product Owner and rest of the development team to understand user needs


• Conduct proactive code analysis and peer review to identify quality issues, security concerns, and revise programs as needed


• Ensure the security of products through proactive security engineering as part of development planning, and responding to security-related issues and requests


• Work with Project Manager, Scrum Master, Technical Lead, and other team members to continuously improve project execution and technical implementations


• Identify, anticipate, and address performance bottlenecks in the application


• Production support on systems of responsibility as needed


• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience working in a software development environment that includes:
  
  
  
  • At least 4 years of experience developing Python applications
  
  
  • At least 3 years of experience with Javascript/Typescript development, with Angular preferred
  
  
  • At least 3 years of experience as a full stack developer
  
  
  
  


• Experience utilizing DevSecOps tools including Azure DevOps, SonarQube, or similar


• Experience writing SQL for Postgres (or a comparable RDBMS, such as MS SQL Server)


• Troubleshooting skills and experience such as reviewing logs, attaching a debugger, use of Chrome developer tools


• Comfortable with web security best practices (e.g. OWASP Top 10)


• Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and clear appreciation of end customer needs


• The ability to prioritize and organize efforts in a fast-paced environment


• Client-ready communication skills to engage proactively and frequently with the Product Owner and other federal staff

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience establishing Agentic AI pipelines and implementation


• Git and Azure DevOps source code management


• Experience with Docker, Docker Compose and Docker orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes)


• Experience with Kendo UI solutions such as Kendo Grids


• Microsoft Azure or AWS technical certifications

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology or related preferred), 4 years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Salary: $140,000-$160,000 commensurate with experience as judged through the interview process.
