Job summary

BIP US in New York is seeking a Senior Full Stack Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex data products for portfolio management, trading, risk analytics and other front-office teams.

You will own end-to-end data pipelines, data models, and APIs, while guiding a team of engineers and maintaining high standards for reliability, performance, and maintainability in a fast-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or Senior Engineer with team responsibility.
• Strong Python and data-pipeline production experience.
• Expert SQL skills for relational/analytic DB design and optimization.
• REST and/or GraphQL API design and development expertise.
• Cloud-based data environments; Azure, Snowflake, AKS experience required.
• Experience in asset management or capital markets is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and front-office data usage.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of front-office data products across ingestion, transformation, DB design, APIs, and React-based UX.
• Build and enhance scalable data pipelines for investment data sources, including near real-time datasets.
• Design scalable database structures and data models for curated datasets.
• Own data products covering positions, transactions, pricing, market data, and risk analytics.
• Define data domain connections to create coherent, trusted data products.
• Design and develop REST and GraphQL APIs and data-access patterns.
• Develop React-based applications for investment professionals to explore data.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and enforce coding standards.
• Lead end-to-end troubleshooting of production data systems and pipelines.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and data analysis.
