Job summary

Abbott is seeking an Associate Staff Software Engineer to build and evolve Full Stack cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure for a mission-critical healthcare SaaS platform. You will design microservices with Java 11+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, and develop cloud-native solutions on Azure with Cosmos DB, Service Bus, and Blob Storage.

You will also craft responsive UIs with Angular, TypeScript, JS, CSS, and HTML, manage state with NgRx, and work with charting libraries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 6+ years of backend development experience with leadership in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Experience building cloud-native SaaS on Azure; familiarity with Azure PaaS services (Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Redis, Identity Manager).
• Frontend experience with Angular/TypeScript/JS/CSS/HTML and NgRx for state management.
• Experience with testing (JUnit, Jest) and load testing (JMeter, Lighthouse); understanding CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement microservices with Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs (GraphQL a plus).
• Build cloud-native SaaS apps on Azure following well-architected principles.
• Work with Azure PaaS services like Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Redis, Identity Manager.
• Build responsive UIs with Angular, TypeScript, JS, CSS, HTML.
• Implement state management with NgRx; work with charting/grid libraries (amCharts, AG-Grid).
• Write unit tests (JUnit, Jest); perform static analysis; conduct load testing (JMeter, Lighthouse).
• Ensure security, performance, adhere to patterns; mentor junior engineers; drive architectural decisions.
• Collaborate in Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).
