Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Digital Solutions team in Orlando. You will work on modern applications that synthesize sensor/IoT data, geospatial data, machine learning, and AI-powered agents to address environmental and engineering challenges.

You will influence architectural direction while building scalable, production-ready solutions. The role spans frontend, backend, and AI-enabled components, with emphasis on API design, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in related full-stack development roles.
• Proficiency with React, C#/.NET, Node.js/TypeScript.
• Strong API design, data integration, and system architecture skills.
• Experience with geospatial tools (ESRI, PostGIS, Mapbox).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
• Ability to design or contribute to agent-based systems and RAG patterns.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend and backend applications.
• Build and optimize REST and GraphQL APIs for high performance.
• Contribute to AI-enabled features including agent-based workflows and RAG.
• Collaborate across DevOps, testing, and deployment to ensure production readiness.
• Mentor juniors and participate in code reviews.
