Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a strong Full Stack AI Engineer to join an AI-first, agile product team in Global Development Operations. The role focuses on building AI-native solutions using large language models, agentic workflows, and data-driven intelligence to solve complex business problems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience delivering Generative and Agentic AI solutions in a regulated setting, with proficiency in Python/Java and frontend tech like React JS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience (Pharma/Life Sciences a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong Python and/or Java skills, plus a UI framework (React JS).
• Solid AI concepts and experience building AI apps.
• Experience with Generative and Agentic AI, LangChain a plus.
• AWS services: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Bedrock, SageMaker a plus.
• SQL/NoSQL data skills; able to write efficient queries.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain LLM-native and agentic apps as long‑lived products with human-in-the-loop, monitoring, and governance.
• Build scalable apps with Python/Java and modern frontend frameworks like React JS.
• Maintain portfolio of SaaS and in‑house applications ensuring high availability and stability.
• Collaborate with business and tech stakeholders across enterprise platforms.
• Implement microservices on AWS and API/event-driven architectures.
• Implement CI/CD practices and monitor model performance and drift.
• Investigate issues with systems and data to find short- and long-term solutions.
