Job summary

Gene by Gene is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer (Agentic AI) to design, build, and scale production-grade applications that weave AI capabilities into our genetic analytics platform.

In this hands-on role, you will own features from local development through CI/CD, mentor teammates, and help implement guardrails, security, testing, and auditing for compliant AI-powered workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering with C#, .NET Core and modern frontend frameworks.
• Proven AI model integration experience in regulated environments.
• Production AWS infrastructure experience with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Strong testing discipline: unit, integration, and contract testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical stakeholders (legal/compliance).
• Mentorship and collaboration to foster a team culture.
• Agile/Scrum experience delivering incremental value.
• Learning agility and keeping pace with AI developments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full‑stack features using C#, .NET, and modern frontend frameworks (Angular or React).
• Integrate agentic AI workflows into production with robust state management and execution patterns.
• Write and tune complex SQL queries across MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Manage and scale AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC, while maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement observability and monitoring for traditional app logic and AI components to ensure reliability.
• Participate in peer code reviews, mentor juniors, and drive engineering standards in Agile/Scrum.
