Job summary

Circle K in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Logistics Leader to direct end-to-end refined fuel distribution. You will oversee daily operations, lead a team, and drive safety, cost control, and service excellence in a 24/7 environment.

You will optimize carrier performance, manage budgets, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvements and robust reporting across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience in logistics operations.
• Experience managing bulk transportation and large trucking fleets.
• Experience in a 24/7 logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of fuel logistics, terminal operations, and pipelines.
• Experience with TMS, dispatch, and telematics systems.
• Data analysis ability with reporting tools and performance metrics.
• Understanding of regulatory and safety requirements in transportation/logistics.
• Strong decision-making, communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day logistics operations for refined fuel transportation.
• Manage and develop a team of logistics professionals with clear priorities.
• Ensure reliable product delivery meeting service, cost, and safety targets.
• Oversee routing, dispatch, and carrier execution for efficiency.
• Provide 24/7/365 operational leadership including disruption response.
• Lead capacity planning for demand fluctuations and weather events.
• Develop a high-performing carrier network and negotiate contracts.
• Conduct monthly carrier performance reviews on safety, service, cost, and compliance.
• Ensure carriers meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor freight costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Track KPIs and report on service, cost, efficiency, and exceptions.
• Support budgeting and forecasting; work with finance on payables/receivables.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop dashboards and data-driven decision tools.
• Promote safety culture and governance across teams and carriers.
