Infiltrator Water Technologies LLC is seeking a Senior Composites Design Engineer for the Sutherlin, OR area. The role focuses on FRP composite product design for infrastructure, including tanks and covers, using RTM and vacuum infusion processes.

Required to lead design efforts, apply relevant codes (IBC, ASCE, AASHTO, ASTM), and perform structural analysis and testing. Travel to sites and events may be necessary; 5+ years in composites preferred with strong CAD/FEA skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in composite product design; 10+ preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of FRP composite products for infrastructure apps.
• Collaborate with the Composite Sales Manager to tailor design solutions for customer projects.
• Identify new product development opportunities and cultivate OEM relationships.
• Drive value engineering to improve design efficiency and reduce cost.
• Oversee manufacturing processes, especially closed molding (RTM, vacuum infusion).
• Assist material selection: resins, reinforcements, cores, adhesives, coatings.
• Apply relevant codes/standards (IBC, AASHTO, ASCE, ASTM) for structural designs.
• Perform structural analysis and guide product testing/validation.
• Transition knowledge with retiring engineer to ensure continuity.
• Support cross-functional teams: production, QA/QC, sales, PM.
• Interface with customers, certification agencies, and third-party engineers.
