Job summary

Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies unit seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to lead FRP project feasibility, design calculations, and coordination with Owners, engineers, and certified applicators. You will drive quality, safety, and collaboration across the project lifecycle.

You will evaluate technical and commercial objectives, prepare deliverables, and support R&D and industry standards. Occasional travel to job sites and conferences is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills to evaluate data and develop practical solutions.
• Experience with FRP systems in civil/structural market space for seismic and gravity load.
• Experience with analytical tools and software (ETABS, SAP 2000, MathCAD, AutoCAD).
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex technical documents and diagrams.
• Effective communicator able to present technical concepts to clients, stakeholders, and diverse audiences.
• Ability to travel to job sites, conferences, and conventions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison with owners, engineers, contractors, and applicators.
• Evaluate FRP applications for technical feasibility and plan approvals.
• Define project requirements with Engineers of Record and certified applicators.
• Lead a culture of quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct job site visits to support project execution.
• Prepare engineering deliverables, design calculations, shop drawings, and notes.
• Coordinate design and drafting with offshore consulting team.
• Prepare bid-related documents and RFIs to clarify project requirements.
• Support R&D and industry publications and marketing materials.
