Job summary

Snorkel AI is seeking a seasoned ML/Research Engineer to join the ML & Research Engineering group. You will study frontier-grade data, form hypotheses, validate them with production data, and ship scalable solutions.

You will help define evaluation standards, optimize agent rollouts, and collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product partners to advance frontier AI capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production ML or software systems.
• Hands-on experience running LLM or ML workloads in production.
• Deep grounding in statistics, experimentation, design, and confidence intervals.

Responsibilities

• Build efficient frontier AI data evaluation pipelines and models.
• Route evals to cheapest models meeting quality bars with cost attribution.
• Fine-tune and serve open-weight models where appropriate.
• Predict task difficulty before rollouts to reduce compute.
• Create gold datasets and ensure reproducibility of quality across projects.
• Turn research prototypes into reusable, production-ready components.
