Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build high‑performance, customer‑centric digital storefronts for GM's global vehicle commerce platform. You will design scalable systems, contribute code, review peers, and drive architecture decisions with a focus on performance and security.

Requires hands‑on experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, Next.js, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of software development experience designing scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of microservices and micro-frontend architectures.
• Experience with ReactJS and frontend/backend integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design and development of scalable, reliable systems.
• Hands-on coding, prototyping, and code reviews with secure practices.
• Lead improvements and refactoring for performance and reliability.
• Build and optimise CI/CD workflows and Kubernetes deployments.
