Job summary

Affirm, a remote-first fintech, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Marketplace and App Experience domain. You’ll work across mobile and web surfaces, translating ideas into scalable frontend features.

Expect to ship web apps with React or Vue, mobile apps with React Native, and design APIs in Kotlin or Python. You’ll own components end-to-end, review peers, and contribute to a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping web apps with declarative UI frameworks (React/Vue).
• Experience shipping mobile apps with React Native.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale (Kotlin/Python).
• Ability to work with multi-component systems and deliver well-tested, extensible code.
• Comfort debugging a large codebase and providing feedback via code reviews.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across global teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to balance constraints and risks.
• Maintain team artifacts, monitor metrics, and participate in on-call efforts.
