Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior frontend engineer to build high-performance, accessible browser-based data visualizations. You will design reusable patterns and integrate visualization tech into scalable frontends, focusing on performance and memory efficiency for large datasets.

You will collaborate with backend, product, design, and QA teams to ship end-to-end user workflows, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and robust automated testing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with TypeScript and modern component-based browser applications.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or equivalent experience.
• Deep expertise in reusable interaction architecture or performance-critical browser visualization.
• Experience building frontend systems with multiple views coordinated through component/state contracts.
• Experience building interactive data visualizations with a charting/graphics library and profiling large datasets.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, browser compatibility, and automated frontend testing.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including substantial production work with TypeScript and modern component-based browser applications.
• Deep expertise in reusable interaction architecture or performance-critical browser visualization, plus demonstrated ability across the adjacent area; mastery of every framework and graphics technology is not expected.
• Experience building frontend systems in which multiple views coordinate through clear component and state contracts.
• Experience building interactive data visualizations with a charting or graphics library and profiling behavior on large datasets.
• Hands-on work with at least one browser rendering technology and practical experience diagnosing frame-time or memory problems.
• Working knowledge of integrating browser and native or WebAssembly code, including loading and failure behavior.
• Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, browser compatibility, and automated frontend testing.
