Job summary

IBM Software in New York seeks an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to design, prototype and implement UI features for on-premise and cloud-based software. You will collaborate with Product Design, Product Management and engineers, lead large frontend initiatives, and mentor teammates while upholding security-focused, high-quality code.

You should have 8+ years in frontend development, strong TS/React experience, and a track record of testing and design-system work in production environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional frontend experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
• Experience with testing and API mocking (Jest, Vitest, Playwright, Puppeteer; MSW/Mirage).

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype and implement UI features for on-premise and cloud software.
• Collaborate with Product Design, Product Management and engineers.
• Lead frontend projects including dynamic form generation and design system migrations.
• Debug, optimize performance, and resolve security vulnerabilities.
• Mentor frontend engineers and promote best practices.
• Maintain high code quality with end-to-end testing.
