Job summary

International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer in a hybrid US-based role. You will design and implement UI features, collaborating with design, product, and backend teams to deliver secure, scalable frontend solutions.

You will lead large frontend initiatives, migrate design systems, and implement OpenAPI-driven forms while mentoring others and upholding strong testing practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontend experience with modern JS frameworks.
• Strong JS/TS expertise; React, Angular, Vue or similar.
• Experience with testing strategies: Jest, Vitest, Playwright; API mocking.
• OpenAPI/Swagger experience and frontend integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype and implement UI features with stability and usability for on-premise/self-managed and cloud-based software.
• Collaborate with Product Design and Product Management, and engineers on the team and across groups.
• Lead large-scale frontend projects including OpenAPI-driven dynamic forms and design system migrations.
• Debug and resolve complex UI issues, API integration, performance, security vulnerabilities.
• Mentor frontend engineers, share knowledge, promote best practices in development processes.
• Maintain high code quality with comprehensive testing from development to deployment.
