Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help accelerate a major transition to TypeScript and React across internal frontend frames.

You will write production TS/React, contribute to architectural decisions, and raise the team’s quality bar while delivering high-velocity, reliable frontend solutions. You will collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to build integrated UI surfaces, optimize performance, and mentor peers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of frontend experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and React in production applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain frontend features and components in TypeScript and React across shell and microfrontend surfaces.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and patterns within the team.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Optimize UI performance and responsiveness for a smooth user experience.
• Write clean, efficient code following team standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop and execute automated tests (unit, integration, functional).
• Debug and troubleshoot frontend issues across surfaces and integrations.
• Collaborate with support teams to triage and resolve production issues.
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers on the team.
• Leverage AI tooling to improve productivity.
