Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help drive a major transition to TypeScript and React for its frontend stack. You will build features, contribute to architecture discussions, and mentor peers while ensuring high-quality, scalable UI across shell and microfrontend surfaces.

You will collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams, optimize performance, and participate in automated testing and code reviews. Remote-friendly work arrangements are available in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in frontend development.
• 2+ years of frontend development experience.
• Strong TypeScript and React experience in production.
• Familiarity with microfrontend architecture or multi-team frontend environments.

Join Frontend Frameworks at Workiva and help build the internal frameworks and tools that Workiva's frontend engineers use to deliver customer-facing products. The FRESH team owns the application shell, microfrontend integration layer, and the UI surfaces that tie Workiva's product experience together. We're executing a major transition to TypeScript and React as our primary frontend stack, and we need strong engineers who can execute at pace, ship quality code, and grow in a team that moves fast. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to that transition, writing production TypeScript and React, participating in technical decision-making, and helping raise the quality bar for the team around you.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need

• Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent applicable experience Experience in frontend development
• Preferred Qualifications Strong experience with TypeScript and React in production applications Familiarity with microfrontend architecture or multi-team frontend environments Solid debugging skills across complex frontend systems Interest in or experience with AI-assisted and agent-accelerated development workflows Strong communication skills, comfortable working across engineering, product, and design Experience working in an agile development environment with a focus on continuous delivery

Travel Requirements and Working Conditions

• Willingness to travel up to 15% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and representing company interests
• Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements

How You’ll Be Rewarded

• Salary range in the US: $111,000.00 - $180,000.00
• A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
• Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
