Job summary

CoachMePlus is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to support a DoD human performance platform. The role offers remote-friendly work with occasional in-person collaboration near Buffalo, NY, and may require citizenship for security clearance.

You will design, develop, and maintain front-end web/mobile features, modernize legacy stacks, and contribute to build pipelines and offline-capable apps. Strong leadership and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• 8+ years of front-end development experience including senior team resource.
• Ability to architect front-end solutions using industry-standard open-source frameworks.
• Experience working on large enterprise platforms with thousands of users.
• Experience refactoring a system to modern front-end tools and languages.
• Proficient with JavaScript ES6, Node package management, React, Jest, HTML5, JSON, CSS3, Grid, Flexbox.
• Git version control with interactive rebasing.
• Experience using a design framework to implement front end requirements.
• Ability to build UI from requirements without strict wireframe mockups.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end web and mobile platform features.
• Upgrade older JavaScript libraries and architecture to modern frameworks.
• Write tooling to develop a new build pipeline alongside legacy tools.
• Create a JavaScript testing suite and integrate into CI pipeline.
• Develop a web app to be delivered as an offline-capable mobile app.
• Build a data synchronization method for offline mobile app to cloud backend.
• Provide thought leadership on front-end design and modernization approaches.
• Organize work plans, estimate tasks, and deliver projects to deadlines.
• Troubleshoot issues and assist other developers, sales staff, and customers.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
