Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Voice Communication team to build scalable, real-time voice experiences across Roblox. You’ll shape the client experience, drive architecture decisions, and empower teams to onboard voice features safely and quickly.

You will mentor engineers, own frontend initiatives end-to-end, and design systems that unlock new social interactions for creators, while remaining hands-on in code and reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend or client engineering, building complex, user-facing UIs in close partnership with Product and Design.
• Experience with React/Redux or React Native or native platforms (iOS/Android/Desktop).
• Strong system design and ability to write clear technical design docs for architecture reviews.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and helping them grow into strong contributors.
• Nice to have: real-time communications expertise (WebRTC) and experience leading large-scale comms initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and grow engineers across levels and remove roadblocks.
• Shape frontend engineering practices across the Communication team.
• Act as technical lead on cross-functional initiatives with product, design, and both frontend and backend engineers.
• Take end-to-end ownership from technical plan to launch and measured impact.
• Stay hands-on in the codebase, including coding and code reviews.
