Job summary

Polymarket in New York is seeking a Senior Web Engineer to own the frontend of our perps product. You will build trading interfaces used by professionals every day, including order entry, position panels, and real-time market data, focusing on speed, reliability, and a great user experience.

This high-ownership role requires shipped trading UIs, collaboration with backend teams, and a mindset for maintainable frontend architecture as the product scales.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of frontend web engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript.
• Experience building trading, exchange, or financial product UIs.
• Strong frontend system design across state management, data fetching, and performance.
• Experience working with real-time data: WebSockets or streaming APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship complex trading UI features end-to-end—order books, position panels, trade history, funding rates, and more.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design APIs and real-time data flows for trading experiences.
• Partner with QA, TPM, product, and design to clarify requirements and manage launches.
• Monitor dashboards and alerts; work with infra teams during incidents to identify root causes.
• Design UI that handles live market data and fast-moving prices with speed and accuracy.
• Improve frontend logs, metrics, alerts, and observability for frontend performance.
• Identify technical debt and contribute to frontend architecture discussions as the product scales.
