Job summary

Node & Vector in New York City is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join a well-funded retail trading platform. You will design, build, and maintain fast, accessible web interfaces and UI libraries, delivering sub-second interactions under pressure.

You'll work with real-time charts, REST APIs, and WebSocket streams, own CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate in-person with a small engineering team to ship high-quality software and equity-rich compensation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional frontend experience.
• Strong CSS and WAAPI experience.
• Experience writing tests (Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or similar).
• Comfort with in-person collaboration in a team setting.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-featured web applications and reusable UI libraries.
• Ship high-performance, interactive charts and real-time visualisations.
• Optimise app speed with advanced caching for sub-second load times.
• Integrate REST APIs and WebSocket streams while managing client-side cached state.
• Own CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, previews, testing, and rollbacks.
