Job summary

EBAS Group in New York City (Chelsea) is looking for a frontend engineer who will own the client-facing product experience from the ground up. This is a true frontend-architecture role, not a traditional team joiner, with responsibility for state management, structure, performance, and tooling.

You will ship features, work directly with founders and design to turn product vision into production UI, and establish coding standards for a fast-moving fintech platform.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript in production.
• Own a substantial frontend component or codebase, not just contribute.
• Ability to make architectural decisions with minimal oversight.
• Interest in fintech, trading, or markets-adjacent products is a plus.
• 2–8 years of professional engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend architecture end-to-end — from initial decisions to long-term scalability.
• Build and ship a fast, real-time product experience for a trading/markets platform.
• Collaborate with founders and design to translate product vision into production UI.
• Set technical standards for frontend code, testing, and tooling as the team grows.
• Make pragmatic build-vs-perfect tradeoffs in an early-stage environment.
